But for kid-focused entertainment and the knowledge that a movie-based game is actually well executed, it's hard to top these meatballs.

This very simple and straightforward format may turn off older players in the first hour but the younger crowd may enjoy it plenty.

Experienced gamers will have no problem playing through the game without even the fear of death, but kids will have fun playing alone or with a family member, and parents or older siblings can jump in without being bored to tears. Upping the challenge factor and fixing some of the technical issues would have expanded the audience for this game even further, but it’s a nice step taken as far as video game tie-ins go.

The fun 8-bit plot scenes and gadget based levels offer kids plenty of fun gameplay, and the option of co-op play and collection quests make this an easy choice for older kids to really get into. However, the short gameplay time and repetitive vocal and graphical elements of the title make it a bit hard to recommend at a $50 price point.

This is a kids' game through and through. Ubisoft should be commended for its efforts, but the game should have been slightly deeper.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a suitable but somewhat bland side dish to be served alongside the movie. It’s a simple children’s game that momentarily distracts and only partially entertains.

This game is based on the movie and it is a funny one, but it’s not the best of games. It contains around five or six hours gameplay and you can play it in the co-op mode. Most of the time the gameplay is platforming, but it also contains some puzzles and humor. The game is fun but it has too many glitches and bugs. Don’t you care about those points and did you like the movie? Then Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is a nice game to play.

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs is a decent kids game, with a simple but nice graphics that reminds the movie and a pleasant and simple platform-style gameplay.

This game is an average platformer based on a movie. There is just nothing exciting about it.

Gregory L gave it a7:
I'm on the fence on this one....recently I've been playing tougher, longer games, (Wolfenstein, RE5 etc.) and Cloudy With a Chance Of Meatballs was a nice break from that and although the dialogue is often times completely irrelevant to the current situation, a good selection of funny weapons and a collectables system with alternate ending make this game fun ...I thoroughly enjoyed the 12 hours of gameplay that it did offer but it's really hard to get attached to something that doesn't stay around too long....I have a Gamepass from Blockbuster which allows me unlimited game rentals. (one game out at a time) needless to say that most likely help raise my opinon of this game (I brought it back the next day after i finished it) and got something new....
