While I wish that you had more control over your soldiers once you sent them, and I would have rather faced turrets that weren't blatantly unbalanced in favor of the enemy side, Mushroom Wars is a pleasant take on the genre.

While it boasts some of the finest artwork I’ve seen in an online title, the lack of upgrades and absence of an online multiplayer mode is disappointing. This half-baked and half-broiled mushroom isn’t going to prepare any meaty meals, but it certainly does enough to keep it away from being a festering fungus.

Mushroom Wars is cute, easy, beautiful, fast-paced and outstanding when it comes to the interface and crisp and clear graphics. It is, however, also stingy on variation and offers no online play. 7$ would be feasible - 9$ is not.
