Think of it like this: the Wii-mote has already proven it can be a good FPS controller, so what's wrong in bringing a good FPS to Wii? Modern Warfare is still an excellent game, even when it's done "good enough" on weaker technology, and like it or not, Reflex fills a niche. Maybe there's a family that only owns a Wii, but with a dad who might enjoy something a little rougher than Mario Kart.

Reflex is Modern Warfare at its best. It's very much the same version that we saw on PS3 and XBox 360 two years ago, but set to be played with the nunchuk and the wiimote controllers. It's graphically amazing, with an outstanding sound and the same story that we enjoyed on the original version. It's a good option to expend your money if you're looking forward to buy the best FPS of this console.

Modern Warfare Reflex is a great adaptation and a really good game. It's true there is a difference between the visuals in this game and the original, but its gameplay remains the experience which have made so many players enjoy.

It’s been two years since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare dropped onto the PS3 and Xbox 360, making the Wii entry very late to the game. But Treyarch, the developer of the solid Call of Duty: World at War, has made it worth the wait. [Holiday 2009, p.85]
Nintendo Life
With a strong campaign and a rock-solid multiplayer that will keep you playing well into the new year, Reflex shames its competition and delivers a great FPS package. Developers, take note: this is how you do a Wii port.

The arrival of Call of Duty Modern Warfare Reflex on the Wii console gives users the opportunity to play what is probably the most beautiful chapters of the entire saga. The single player campaign brings into our living rooms really memorable moments stuck to perfection in an epic story and exciting. Once ended, anyone with a console connected to the web will enjoy a better multiplayer ever developed. The only flaw worth mentioning can be found in a control system that requires a learning period and can not satisfy all fans of FPS classics.

The expertly scripted and intensely exciting campaign is just as entertaining as it was two years ago on other systems, and even the occasional lapses in visual fidelity and control precision can't keep it from being a must-play for Wii shooter fans.

It manages to pack in everything the original had, and the online side of things works extremely well, with no issues in finding games or lag that I could find in the many games I played.

Treyarch has managed to represent the intensity of Modern Warfare in one of the best shooters in Wii. If you couldn't play the original game, this adaptation is a must-have for you.
Read Full Review >Official Nintendo Magazine UK
Given the extra two years Treyarch had to squeeze every last drop of polish from the Wii, this is underwhelming visually. It looks okay for a Wii game - that's the dreaded caveat - but it's not even up there with Metroid Prime: Corruption. Having said that, Modern Warfare is still an excellent shooter packed with options and it should be a big player online so we can welcome it to the Wii family.

Other than the SD graphics, variations on multiplayer, and pointer controls, this is still Modern Warfare. It's still the first game in the most popular series that this particular genre has ever seen. Not enough has changed about the game, for better or worse, to make a dent in that.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex" looks and runs great on a system that shouldn't be able to handle it. If you have no other options to play the game on, it comes highly recommended. It's just a shame multiplayer isn't as fully featured as it could be.
When compared to the Xbox and PS3 version it feels incredibly gimped, but when put up against other Wii shooters, Modern Warfare: Reflex stands out, and proves that the Wii can, indeed, keep up with the high-def generation. It just can't look as good while it does it.

Are you a Wii-gamer and looking for a good shooter? Don't wait any longer and buy this game, because right now there are no better shooter available on this console!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex may have more subtitles than it needs but it is a respectable port of one of the greatest first-person shooter experiences of our time.
Call Of Duty: Reflex Edition, despite being equal to Modern Warfare (except for graphics) is a really good game, especially for the multiplayer component and a few new innovations.
This is still a really great game, but it's unable to truly surmount all of the difficulties that Wii puts on an FPS. If you only play one FPS on the Wii, this should be it, but it's still got many of the same problems that the genre is known for on this system.
Unfortunately, Reflex Edition on Wii just doesn’t cut it as a Call of Duty branded game or as a top-tier Wii first-person shooter. The framerate is jumpy, the pointer tracking needs some serious polish, and while most of the elements of COD4 are included, none of them are given enough fine-tuning to truly excel.

Apart from a few technical issues and a gameplay that might be hard to master for many, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition proves to be a good product, whose qualities, very similar to the PS3, Xbox 360 e PC versions, will surely guarantee hours of fun to the whole Wii user base.
Is this conversion of Modern Warfare worth the wait? Frankly, no. Wii owners were expecting a more polished game, though the well-known technical limitations of the Nintendo console, while this one comes with mediocre graphics and unresponsive controls.
Even a clunky, hard-to-control Modern Warfare is better than no Modern Warfare, and Reflex may be fun for Wii owners who haven’t played – or seen – another version of the game. Ultimately, however, Reflex is proof that if there’s a way to make an FPS work on the Wii, no one has found it yet.
As it stands, Modern Warfare Reflex is merely average. The multiplayer is addictive and the control options are varied, but the watered-down graphics and relentless frame rate problems keep it from being a power player. This game has seen better days, two years ago, in fact.
Although still passably entertaining much of the time, stood next to other shooters on the Wii it doesn't even come close to matching the look and feel of games designed specifically for the system.
Modern Warfare may have finally found its way to the Wii, but I wish the original console controls had made the jump as well. Instead, Wii players get a game that forces heavy reliance on aim-assist (especially in multiplayer). The ultimate battle is with the controller, rather than the on-screen bad guys.
