Outsourced is a modern day comedy of cross-cultural conflict and romance. Todd Anderson spends his days managing costumer call center in Seattle until his job, along with those of the entire office, are outsourced to India. Adding insult to injury, Todd mus travel to India to train his new replacement. As he navigates through the chaos of Bombay and an office paralyzed by constant cultural misunderstandings, Todd yearns to return to the comforts of home. But it is through his team of quirky yet likable Indian call center workers, including his friendly and motivated replacement, Puro, and the charming, opinionated Asha, that Todd realizes that he too has a lot to learn--not only about India and America, but about himself. He soon discovers that being outsourced may be the best thing that ever happened to him. (ShadowCatcher Entertainment)

Christian Science Monitor
Peter Rainer
Smart and charming.

75
Boston Globe
Wesley Morris
A sweetly acted and neatly executed social comedy.

75
ReelViews
James Berardinelli
Sweet and light. It's a celebration of cultural diversity and an affirmation that, despite differences in race, religion, and societal norms, people are essentially the same.

75
Chicago Sun-Times
Roger Ebert
Outsourced is not a great movie, and maybe couldn't be this charming if it was. It is a film bursting with affection for its characters and for India.

75
TV Guide
Maitland McDonagh
Outsourced is a sweet, good-natured surprise that takes the cliches out of an overworked genre and makes them seem almost fresh and entirely charming.

75
New York Daily News
Jack Mathews
Josh Hamilton gives a marvelously engaging performance in this fish-out-of-water comedy.
70
The New York Times
Matt Zoller Seitz
In its modest way, Outsourced may be unique: a charming culture-clash romance that could be taught in business schools.
70
Salon.com
Andrew O'Hehir
Simply too bright and pleasant to become a huge hit, but it's a confident little genre film with near-classic charm.

70
Variety
Eddie Cockrell
This unaffected charmer treats a hot-button contempo issue with old-fashioned grace and benevolent wit, rendering it a sure-fire word-of-mouth crowd-pleaser.

70
Village Voice
Brian Miller
Outsourced has all the charm and color of its made-in-India locations, yet it's crafted--well crafted--according to familiar Hollywood convention.

67
Austin Chronicle
Josh Rosenblatt
Its head may be in the sand, but Outsourced is a good-spirited idyll, an escape from reality, naive to a fault, and all but unconcerned with the troubles of the world but almost -- almost -- convincing in its innocence.

50
San Francisco Chronicle
Ruthe Stein
The ending is predictable to anybody who's followed the trajectory of outsourcing. Outsourced humanizes those affected by it - even if the story sounds familiar.

42
Seattle Post-Intelligencer
Bill White
It is not giving away much to say that everything ends as expected, just not soon enough.
